Levon Barkhudaryan was the Minister of Finance of Armenia in 1993–97 and again in 1999–2000, when he had actively participated in the introduction of the Armenian national currency (dram) and in the design and implementation of the fiscal policy reforms. Since 2010, he has served as the Vice Rector of the Armenian State Economic University. He also served as a Board Member of the BTA Bank (2008–09) and as a Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Armimpexbank (2001–07). Mr. Barkhudaryan holds a post-graduate degree in Economics from the Central Economic and Mathematical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
