Irina Alaverdyan received her M.A. in May 2008 from Georgetown University, in the Culture, Communication and Technology program. Her interests include communication campaigns, online communications, and PR/marketing. She holds an M.A. from the American University of Armenia, majoring in Political Science. Previously, she studied Romance-Germanic linguistics at Yerevan State University and International Law at the Yerevan branch of Saint Petersburg University of International Relations, Economics and Law. Before coming to the United States Irina worked for seven years at the Public Affairs Office of the US Embassy in Armenia coordinating Public Relations and press/ information activities in support of overall mission goals.
