Lisa Esayian is a partner in the litigation group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, based in Chicago. She focuses on complex litigation and counseling matters involving asbestos, other mass torts, insurance coverage and bankruptcy throughout the United States. She has also handled environmental matters and class actions. Ms. Esayian is a graduate of Princeton University, with Bachelor of Arts in Politics as well as a certificate from the Program in Science and Human Affairs, and she is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1991. Ms. Esayian served on the Armenian Assembly of America’s Board of Directors for four years, as Chair of the Armenian Bar Association from 2001–02, and on ArmenBar’s Board for eight years. She currently serves on the Legate’s Advisory Committee for Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Legate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church and is a member of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, the American Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
